Getting your first job or paycheck is exciting. For people with developmental disabilities, getting that first job and paycheck is a huge deal. A new program called, Get HIRED! is offering hope to area individuals with developmental disabilities and looking for work. Get HIRED is a community employment initiative for those individuals who live in Johnson or Wyandotte counties and are between the ages of 19 and 35. This program was developed in an effort to improve the transition process from school programs to real work experiences.
